What file types work best for UV DTF transfers?

We recommend vector PDF files for the cleanest results, but we also accept AI, EPS, SVG, PSD, and high-resolution PNGs (300 DPI).

What level of detail can UV DTF Transfers reproduce?

Our UV process prints high-resolution detail, gradients, and textures—ideal for full-colour branding, small type, and intricate artwork.

Do you have artwork templates?

Yes — you can use our online designer or request template files for common label sizes to set up your artwork accurately.

What colour profiles do you use?

Our default print mode is CMYK. You can submit RGB files, which we’ll convert for optimal vibrancy.

What if I'm not sure if my artwork is set up correctly?

If you're unsure, you can follow our artwork setup guidelines or select our optional Artwork Check & Prep service at checkout. We’ll clean up files, remove backgrounds, and prep them for best results.

What surfaces can UV DTF Transfers be applied to?

They adhere best to smooth, non-porous surfaces like glass, metal, acrylic, plastic, and wood.

Do I need special equipment to apply them?

No special equipment is needed. Just peel, stick, and press firmly by hand or with a squeegee. Remove the top film layer to reveal the design.

Are UV DTF Transfers waterproof?

Yes! They’re waterproof, scratch-resistant, and UV-resistant, making them suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

Are they dishwasher safe?

We recommend hand washing to preserve the finish — repeated dishwasher cycles may reduce the lifespan of the transfer.

Can I use them on curved surfaces?

Yes, they work well on mild curves such as mugs, tumblers, and bottles — but are not recommended for highly textured or deeply contoured items.

How to Apply UV DTF Transfers

Follow these simple steps to get vibrant, durable prints on almost any surface.

  1. Clean the Surface: Use isopropyl alcohol or mild cleaner to remove dust, oils, and debris. The cleaner the surface, the better the adhesion.
  2. Trim the Transfer: Cut around the edges of the design for easier placement. No weeding required!
  3. Peel the Backing Film: Slowly remove the opaque backing film to reveal the adhesive side of the transfer.
  4. Place and Press: Position the sticky side of the transfer on your item. Press down firmly.
  5. Remove Air Bubbles: Use a squeegee or firm card to push out any air bubbles or wrinkles.
  6. Peel the Top Film: Slowly peel away the top film layer to reveal your design

  • Cleaning: Gently wipe with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid strong chemicals or abrasives.
  • Durability: UV DTF prints are scratch-resistant, waterproof, and fade-resistant, lasting 2–5 years with proper care.
  • Avoid High Heat: Do not expose the transfer to open flames or extreme heat sources.
  • Laminate When Needed: For high-touch items, applying a laminate layer can extend the life of the design.
